Best Trick Session by Nintendo on April 17th 2011 • go-shred.com raffles rides to Zugspitze • Rookie Contest on April 25th 2011 • Special offerings for kidsThe legendary SPRING IN THE PARK freestyle camp on Germany’s highest mountain will be enriched by further attractions: apart from the Rookie Contest on April 25th 2011, the Best Trick Session by Nintendo will be held at Terrain Park Zugspitze on April 17th 2011. Additionally, the cooperation with go-shred.com will premiere: “your ride to the snow” allows kids and youth to attend the event without difficulty.
From April 16th to 30th 2011, SPRING IN THE PARK has a lot to offer for all park riders and rookies: free coaching by K2 pro riders for all freeskier and snowboarder, best trick session and rookie contest, photo sessions, BBQ area and a test area where the participants can borrow the most up-to-date hardware from K2 Skis and K2 Snowboarding. Even for the kids, the latest ski and boards will be available here! In addition, kids coaching in a specially prepared park area will be offered to the youngest riders.
The camp will take place at the new Terrain Park Zugspitze at Wetterwandeck. At this 700-metre long and up to 100-metre wide area, Karl Killer and his shape crew have built a first-class kicker & rail playground. Lots of rollers and table tops, pipeline, wall-ride, butter box and many more features – at SPRING IN THE PARK 2011, slopestylers will have the opportunity to enjoy a big variety of obstacles for all skill levels!
Two contests for everyone!
Two contests are the highlight of SPRING IN THE PARK 2011. In addition to the well-proven Rookie Contest on Easter Monday with many great prizes like ski and snowboard sets by K2, the Best Trick Session by Nintendo will be held for the first time. On Sunday, April 17th, all freeskier and snowboarder can show their skills. The first prize is a brand new, portable Nintendo 3DS – the first game pad that allows to experience 3D graphics without special glasses. But not only the winner will be able to enjoy the new Nintendo 3DS. For all visitors of SPRING IN THE PARK 2011, several game pads for individual tests will be available.Cooperation with go-shred.com
For all kids and teens who still need a ride to the snow, go-shred.com will daily raffle seven seats for the K2go-shredExpress on the Easter weekend. All who are interested should post a Munich-Zugspitze lift request at the go-shred.com website. Then, they’ll automatically take part in the raffle. Everyone travelling to the event with a go-shred.com lift during the go-shred week from April 18th to 25th will obtain reduced 1-day lift tickets from the go-shred tent at Eibsee station from 8.00 to 10.30 am.SPRING IN THE PARK is a free freestyle camp for kids and youth of all ages. Registration is not necessary. For teens between 16 and 18 years, the “twin ticket” for only Euro 46.50 offers two days of freestyle fun on Zugspitze. Thanks to the profitable family discount, two parents with two children only pay Euro 99 for a skiing day on Zugspitze.
