No traffic jams, from the city to the mountain and into the snow, stress-free - the Garmisch Ski-Express makes it possible.

From 26 December 2009 to 4 April 2010, winter sports lovers ride from the main train station in Munich directly to the Hausberg cable car in the Garmisch-Classic ski area – and dive right into snow fun. If it's Zugspitze you want, then all you need to do is change over to the cogwheel train.

You can depart from the main station in Munich at 7:00 AM every Saturday and Sunday. You reach the Hausberg train station in just 85 minutes. On the train, all you need to do is show your train ticket and you will already receive your day pass for the ski area – fast and hassle-free.

After a day on perfectly groomed slopes with racy runs and terrific places to stop for food and drinks, all you need to do is board one of the regional trains of Deutsche Bundesbahn for a leisurely ride back to Munich. The Garmisch Ski-Express – stress-free and environmentally friendly, the perfect way to travel after a fantastic day of winter sports.

The Garmisch Ski-Express combiticket

The Garmisch Ski-Express Kombiticket costs € 39 for the Garmisch-Classic ski area, including the round trip with the DB Regio Oberbayern train and a ski pass. Children and teenagers (through the age of 18) pay € 32. The package with skiing on Zugspitze costs € 45, children and teenagers (through 18) pay € 36. Those who prefer to decide last-minute can also use the Garmisch Ski-Express with the Bayern-Ticket for € 28 (up to five persons). In this case, a reduced day pass for skiing can be obtained by presenting this ticket.
