And if you'd rather watch than stand on skis yourself, you can embark on an alpine winter round trip: Up you go in the Alpspitzbahn cable car to the stopover at 2,050 meters (6,725 feet) above sea level at Osterfelderkopf.After the scenic ride down in the Hochalm cable car, the earthy Hochalm lodge bids you in for a bite to eat and a drink. A seat in the sun in front of the lodge lets the clock tick a little slower and turns your day in the mountains into an excursion to remember.
The 30-minute winter walk back to the Kreuzeck cable car has more awesome views up to the peak of Alpspitze on hand before the leisurely ride back down into the valley.
