Hiking in the Garmisch-Classic ski area
A most natural mountain experience
The Alpspitze, Kreuzeck and Hausberg mountains – a truly magnificent triumvirate in the Garmisch-Classic ski area. Glide comfortably to the top in the Bayerische Zugspitzbahn cable cars and discover the natural surroundings of the alpine mountain world on foot.In the Kreuzeck or Alpspitze cable cars, it's only a few minutes to the lofty mountain worlds near Zugspitze. Day-trippers and families with children can enjoy a break in one of the cozy mountain lodges or earthy "Alm" huts surrounded by lush alpine pastures. Numerous hiking trails of all difficulties, a geologic educational trail and the steep, narrow trail to the wild Höllentalklamm gorge make the Garmisch-Classic area an experience to remember for both young and old.
