Reach your take-off point on the Osterfelderkopf or Kreuzeck mountains quickly and comfortably with the Alpspitze and Kreuzeck cable cars. Thermal upwinds on warm days in the spring and summer let you climb another 600 meters (2000 feet)from here.
The more ambitious paragliders can even take off directly from the top of Alpspitze. Sure-footed para-alpineers can reach the summit via the "Alpspitz-Ferrata" protected climb.
The official landing place is near the Kreuzeck valley station. Nearby, at CaféBar Kandahar, you can stop in for tasty refreshments and snacks along with a perfect view of the paragliders coming in for their landing.
