Development of the Zugspitze - a Company’s Story of Success
Many had already tried - and failed. It was in 1928 when a partnership of various companies was granted permission by the government to build a cogwheel train up to the Zugspitze. These companies then immediately founded the Bayerische Zugspitzbahn AG (Bavarian Zugspitz Transportation Inc.) and had works started and so the Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG is able to look back to a eventful history.
